The Tower District is a small neighborhood in Fresno, CA. Tower District is known for its historic buildings and beautiful brick streets. Tower district has been home to many of Fresno’s most influential families including the Tower family themselves who owned much of the land that now makes up Tower District. Tower District was also one of the first neighborhoods in Fresno to be inhabited by people from all walks of life, which made it a hot spot for socializing and mingling with friends and neighbors.

The bordering roads of Tower District are East McKinley Avenue, Sequoia-Kings Canyon Freeway and N H Street. Tower district is home to many of Fresno’s most influential families including the Tower family themselves who owned much of the land that now makes up Tower District.

Brass Unicorn is a local store of Tower District that has served the Fresno metropolitan area for over 16 years. John Tower was an influential store owner who began his business in 1892 with a general merchandise store on East Veranda Street near Garey Avenue called Tower & Company General Merchandise Store.

Around 1910 he moved the location one block west to what would later be known as Tower Building Block No. 17, which now includes Brass Unicorn II Inc., Tower Market Square, Tower Bakery Cafe and other shops in this neighborhood.

The population of the Tower District is mainly Hispanic, and Tower District is known for its Hispanic culture. The Tower District has many restaurants that serve traditional Mexican food like tacos, burritos, tortas etc.

Brass Unicorn II Inc specializes in new age jewelry made with quality materials including stainless steel wire-wrapped synthetic stones, semi-precious beads such as turquoise or lapis lazuli imported from Afghanistan or China.

Tower District was once the site of an ancient Indian village inhabited by the Yokuts tribe for over one thousand years. Tower District was also home to Fresno’s first Spanish missions in 1872
